CONVERGENCE: NIGHTWING & ORACLE
Written by Gail Simone
Art by Jan Duursema & Dan Parsons
Published by DC Comics – $3.99

STARRING HEROES FROM THE PRE-FLASHPOINT DCU! Just as they’ve finally been reunited, the romance between Dick Grayson and Barbara Gordon is sentenced to execution by Flashpoint Hawkman and Hawkwoman!

Why It’s Hot: Now this is what Convergence is all about. We get Gail Simone writing Barbara Gordon as Oracle, and she’s in a relationship with Dick Grayson. This is something a lot of readers thought they would never see again, and for many this is a sign that all is right in the world.

DEADPOOL #45/250
Written by Various
Art by Various
Published by Marvel Comics – $9.99

FINAL ISSUE!
That’s right-if you add together all the Deadpool series (creatively) issue 45 is the big 250th issue of Deadpool! What better way to celebrate than to end the series? In our over-sized main story, ULTIMATUM comes at Deadpool for revenge, so he has no choice but to take them on-ALL OF THEM. Then, in an Infinity Gauntlet crossover, what would Deadpool do if he got the six gems from Thanos? Plus: a slew of stories showcasing Deadpool’s closest friends and allies by special guest writers! Also, SPOILER: Deadpool dies at the end of the issue.

Why It’s Hot: Deadpool has become one of the most popular characters in comics these past few years, and now Marvel is killing him off. Yep, The Death of Deadpool is among us, and Marvel is giving us our money’s worth, as a lot of awesome creators are giving old Wade the send off he deserves!

JUPITER’S CIRCLE #1
Written by Mark Millar
Art by Wilfredo Torres
Published by Image Comics – $3.50

The most celebrated superheroes in mid-century America seem to have it all-fame, riches, adoration-but tensions simmer beneath the glossy surface, threatening to crack open the secrets behind their public AND private exploits. Before the family dynasty in JUPITER’S LEGACY began, there was JUPITER’S CIRCLE-a story about a team whose personal dramas collide with super-powered spectacle!

Why It’s Hot: Mark Millar is back again with another quality Millarworld launch. He is joined by Wilfredo Torres for Jupiter’s Circle, a prequel to Jupiter’s Legacy. For those worried about this being a prequel worry not! This book stands on its own, and is well worth picking up. The best way to sum this book up is Mad Men meets superheroes. Doesn’t that sound awesome?

THE LEGACY OF LUTHER STRODE #1
Written by Justin Jordan
Art by Tradd Moore & Felipe Sobreiro
Published by Image Comics – $3.99

Luther Strode returns.
For five years, Luther Strode and Petra have been on the run. Now the time for running is over, and the Murder Cult is going down. The road to Cain starts here.

JUSTIN JORDAN (SPREAD) and TRADD MOORE (All-New Ghost Rider) bring back Luther and Petra for their final adventure. The last chapter in the hit trilogy begins NOW.

Special double-sized issue!

Why It’s Hot: A few years ago, three and a half to be more exact, Justin Jordan and Tradd Moore unleashed a little book called The Strange Talent of Luther Strode upon an unsuspecting public. The over the top action, and eye popping artwork from Tradd Moore made the book an instant critical darling. They followed up the first mini series with The Legend of Luther Strode, and now are finishing up the story with The Legacy of Luther Strode. This is it – the final act of the trilogy, and you know Jordan and Moore are going to go out big. Expect absolute carnage and mayhem from a creative team that does that sort of thing really well.

REBELS #1
Written by Brian Wood
Art by Andrea Mutti
Published by Dark Horse Comics – $3.99

In a rush of great public resistance to an oppressive and excessive government, a homegrown militia movement is formed in rural America. This is not 2015, but 1775. With the war for independence playing out across the colonies, young Seth and Mercy Abbott find their new marriage tested at every turn, as the demands of the frontlines and the home front collide.

Why It’s Hot: Brian Wood writing historical fiction is always a good thing. Brian Wood writing historical fiction about the Revolutionary War is something I didn’t know I wanted in my life until I read this first issue. It’s great, and beautiful, and worth your hard earned money. I have a feeling this will be one of the best new creator owned books of 2015.
